Samusure, Rwanda
Summary
A washed Red Bourbon coffee from the Nyamasheke region of Rwanda, grown at 1,800-2,000 masl. Produced by Jean and Emerthe, who rebuilt their family farm after the genocide. The coffee is hand-picked, floated, depulped, fermented in water for 36 hours, washed, and dried on raised beds for about 18 days. Expect bright notes of orange and nectarine, rich blackberry sweetness, and a refined tea-like finish reminiscent of Lapsang Souchong.
