Wangera
Summary
The Wangera farm, established in 1963, is located in the Mukurwe-ini district of Nyeri county, Kenya, at an altitude of 1650 meters. The 3-hectare farm is entirely planted with the legendary SL28 arabica variety and is managed using sustainable practices including shade planting and mulching. The coffee is processed using the natural (dry) method with spontaneous fermentation. The flavour profile features plum jam, rosehip, and red currant, with classic Kenyan blackcurrant notes attributed to the SL28 variety.
