Kianyaga
Summary
A coffee from the Kianyaga washing station, operated by the Baragwi Farmers' Co-operative Society in the Kirinyaga region of Kenya, at the southern foothills of Mount Kenya. Founded in 1966, the station processes the harvest of approximately 1,400 smallholder farmers who grow coffee under Grevillea and Muringa shade trees. The coffee offers flavour notes of blackcurrant, mandarin, and sweet lemonade, with a bright and complex profile characteristic of the region.
