Summary
Karimikui is a Kenyan coffee from the Kirinyaga region, produced by approximately 1400 smallholder farmers and processed at the Karimikui station of the Rungeto Farmers Cooperative Society, located near Ngariama on the southern slopes of Mount Kenya. The coffee is machine pulped, fermented overnight, washed, and sun dried for 9-13 days. It offers flavour notes of blackcurrant, grapefruit, and mandarin, showcasing the characteristic complex flavours of the Kirinyaga region.
