Gicherori
Summary
Gicherori comes from the Embu region in central Kenya, located on the southeastern slopes of Mount Kenya. The coffee is sourced from nearly 1,000 smallholder farmers who deliver their cherries to the Gicherori washing station. Processing uses the washed method with spontaneous fermentation, followed by drying for 9-13 days. Varieties include SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, and Batian. The flavour profile offers notes of redcurrant, rhubarb, and cocktail tomato, characterized by high-quality acidity.
