Ethiopia - Layo Teraga

Summary

Single-origin washed Ethiopian coffee from the Layo Teraga Cooperative, located in northern Uraga in the Guji zone. Founded in 1976, the cooperative provides market access for 1,841 smallholder members who grow coffee in garden plots within semi-forested environments at elevations exceeding 2,200 MASL. Varieties 74110, 74112 and 74158. After harvesting only large, ripe cherries, the fruit is de-pulped and dried slowly on raised beds. The cup is clean with no ferment or process flavors, showing dense sugary sweetness, fruit punch, stone fruit and citrus with a clear, crisp finish.
