El Chaferote

Summary

Finca El Chaferote is located in San Agustin, in the southern Huila region of Colombia, where the Central and Eastern Andes Mountains converge. The farm is owned by Luis Gerardo Bravo Ordonez, who acquired it nearly 40 years ago. He transitioned from commodity grade coffee to specialty coffee, experimenting with Pink Bourbon and Geisha varieties. In 2019, El Chaferote placed 3rd in the Cup of Excellence with their Pink Bourbon variety. This coffee is washed processed with tasting notes of chamomile, mango, and spiced cider.
