Finca El Puente Catuaí
Summary
Single-origin Honduran coffee from Finca El Puente, grown by Marysabel Caballero and Moises Herrera in Chinacla, La Paz. The Catuaí cultivar, once the most widely planted in Honduras before leaf rust, is known for sweet, chocolaty flavours. Ripe cherries are hand picked and sorted, de-pulped in the afternoon with mechanical mucilage removal, fermented overnight, washed in a channel, centrifuged and dried slowly on raised beds under shade nets. Expect a rich, chocolaty cup with subtle dried fruits and nuts and a herbal finish.
