Kamwangi Ab

Summary

A washed coffee from the Kamwangi Factory in Kirinyaga, Kenya, grown at 1600 metres above sea level. The cup offers superb clarity with bright notes of red currant and plum, gently syrupy sweetness like raisin or candied orange, and a touch of herbal rose hip as it cools. The factory serves around 1800 farmers who primarily grow SL34 and SL28 varieties. Processing uses fresh river water with recycling, fermentation for 16-24 hours, washing in clean water, soaking for 12 hours, and drying on raised beds for about 14 days.
