Limmu

Summary

Limmu is a 100% certified organic Ethiopian coffee from the Gera region, about 40 km southwest of Jimma, grown at 2,100 m. Produced by Khalid Shifa, who manages several processing stations in the Jimma area, the lot is of the Heirloom variety and washed: cherries are hand-picked ripe, pulped, fermented, washed and dried on raised beds. In the cup it shows fresh, bright citrus acidity from orange, an elegant black tea base, silky buttery creaminess and a juicy red berry finish. Medium body, medium-high acidity, elegant and luminous. Omni roast suited to both filter and espresso.
