Kenya Kiambu Spike Aa
Summary
A dynamic AA lot from Spike Estate in Kenya's Kiambu region, grown by Manasseh Kibochi at 1,700-1,800 meters on volcanic soils. Planted mainly with Bourbon-derived cultivars such as SL28, the coffee undergoes traditional Kenyan wet processing: hand-picked cherries are pulped, dry fermented 16-24 hours, washed, soaked 24 hours, then dried on raised African beds for 10-18 days. The cup shows white grape, brown sugar, dried cherry, cranberry and a five-spice finish with sparkling citrus acidity.
