Kenya Gatomboya
Summary
Kenyan washed coffee from the Gatomboya washing station in Nyeri, operated by the Barichu Farmer Cooperative Society, which processes harvests from around 950 smallholders on volcanic soil between Mount Kenya and the Aberdare range. A blend of Batian, SL28, SL34 and Ruiru 11 varieties, fully washed with overnight fermentation in water tanks and 10-12 days of sun drying on raised African beds. Juicy and fresh with sparkling acidity and a crystal-clear profile: blackberry, blackcurrant, redcurrant, citrus and sweet spice, rounded by vanilla sweetness. Roasted omni for filter and espresso.
