El Eucalipto, Washed, Peru
Summary
This washed microlot from Peru's Cajamarca region is produced by Richard Cotrina at Finca El Eucalipto, a small family farm in the community of Potrero Grande, Tabaconas. He is a member of the Aromas del Valle Co-operative. The coffee is of the Bourbon variety, grown at 1500 masl. Ripe cherries are floated, fermented for 60 hours, pulped, washed, and dried on raised African beds under solar drying tents for 15-18 days. Flavour notes include blueberry, lemon, and peach.
