Gathiruini
Summary
A Kenyan peaberry lot from the Githunguri area of Kiambu County, grown by members of the Komothai Farmers Cooperative Society at 1,600-1,700 masl on nutrient-rich volcanic soils. Composed mainly of SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian varieties and washed processed, it is softly fruity and smooth drinking, with a sparkling berry acidity, rich juicy body and a lingering fruity finish. Tasting notes of peach, cranberry and caramel.
