El Faldón is a washed coffee from Caicedo, Antioquia, Colombia, produced by Rubén Darío and Rosa Eleny Gómez. It is made from Caturra and Bourbon varieties, processed using the washed method. The coffee has a jammy sweetness with notes of blackberry, orange and caramel. Rubén Darío Gómez, who started as a coffee picker over a decade ago, bought his farm in the remote hills of Caicedo despite it being considered unsuitable for coffee. Today, he and his wife Rosa Eleny farm two hectares of coffee and distribute through Pergamino.
