Indien Chinennahally
Summary
This coffee comes from Chinennahally Estate, located at about 1000-1100 meters on the slopes of the Bababudangiri mountain range in the Chikmagalur district of Karnataka, India. The farm has been family-owned for over 70 years. The coffee plants grow under a two-story canopy of native shade trees, which promotes slow cherry development and results in higher quality and more complex flavors. Harvest is done manually, picking only ripe cherries, which are then pulped and washed, and sun-dried, resulting in a washed process coffee. Flavor notes include roasted hazelnut, cocoa, and red grape.
