Burundi Rubagabaga
Summary
A washed coffee from the Rubagabaga washing station in the Kayanza region of Burundi, founded in 1992 and operated by Greenco. Grown by around 2,700 smallholder farmers at altitudes between 1,600 and 1,900 meters, this lot is of the Red Bourbon variety. The coffee is hand-picked, sorted by flotation and hand, depulped, washed, and dried on raised African beds for about two weeks. It offers a balanced sweetness, lively acidity, and aromatic depth with notes of blackcurrant and a hint of citrus.
