Diima Danche - Ethiopia

Summary

Diima Danche is a natural-processed coffee from Chelbesa in Ethiopia's Gedeb region, processed at the Danche Washing Station. Around 400 smallholder farmers deliver hand-picked cherries from farms at 2,000–2,300 meters. The cherries are sorted and dried for two to three weeks on raised African beds. Tasting notes include mango, lemon and black tea as a filter roast, and strawberry, pineapple and marzipan as an espresso. Uses local heirloom varieties.
