Summary

Single-origin Costa Rican coffee from Finca El Salitre, grown by Johnny Alvarado Abarca and processed at the family's Corazón de Jesús micro-station in the Pérez Zeledón region. The Moka/Mocha variety is grown on volcanic soil at 1,850 metres. Only ripe moka cherries are picked, washed, then anaerobically fermented in polypropylene bags in the shade for two days before drying on concrete patios and raised beds. Cup profile of caramel, red grape and tropical fruit.
