Decaf Burundi Kalico Red Bourbon
Summary
A light roast decaf single origin from Burundi's lakes region, produced by smallholder farmers through Kalico, founded by Angèle Ciza in 2012 and now managed by her son Alexandre Shaka Mugisha, working with seven washing stations across Kirundo and Muyinga. The Red Bourbon variety is washed and decaffeinated using the chemical-free Swiss Water Process. Grown at 5,400-5,700 feet on rich volcanic soils, it offers a complex, fruity cup with notes of gingersnap, black tea and maraschino cherry.
