Summary
Kenya Mutitu AA is a specialty coffee from Kirinyaga County on the southern slopes of Mount Kenya, grown at 1,800 meters above sea level. Smallholder farmers deliver cherries to the Mutitu Factory, part of the Mutira Farmers Cooperative Society. The coffee undergoes a Kenyan fully washed process with 16–24 hours of fermentation, repeated washing, soaking, and drying on raised beds for 10–20 days. Varieties are SL28, SL34, and Batian. The cup profile shows blackberry, plum, apple juice, and white grapes, with remarkable cleanliness and intense fruitiness.
