Peru - Mikan
Summary
Single origin Arabica coffee from smallholder producers in the high-altitude areas surrounding Jaén in the Cajamarca region of northern Peru. Grown on volcanic soils with tropical rainfall, the cherries are hand-picked, pulped, fermented in tanks, and dried on patios or raised beds. Varieties are Caturra and Geisha, washed processed. The cup is vibrant with bright citrus notes of grapefruit and orange, balanced by rich dark chocolate sweetness and a subtle tamarind acidity.
