Monkaaba Sidra
Summary
A Colombian Sidra from the Monkaaba collective in San Agustin, Huila, sourced via importer Semilla. The project, led by Esnaider Ortega Gomez and Didier Ortega, supports around 60 smallholder families with open-access sample roasting and cupping. This lot was contributed by producers Benedicto Fernandez and Milton Augusto Ortega from the La Curva and Campo Verde farms. The Sidra variety originated from a Nestlé breeding facility in Pichincha, Ecuador, in the 1990s. Washed and roasted with minimal influence for a clean, juicy cup with notes of nectarine, white grape and elderflower.
