Summary

Java Flowertron is a specialty coffee from East Java, Indonesia, grown near the Argopuro volcano at 1800m elevation. Produced by Mas Muhlis, an agronomist, from Caturra and Lini S-795 varieties. The coffee undergoes a unique double fermentation 'flowertron' process: 72 hours dry (natural) fermentation in air followed by 120 hours carbonic maceration in sealed CO2-injected tanks. Flavor profile features cocoa, spicy tones, red grapes, floral notes, caramel sweetness, rum, raisin, and chocolate with alcoholic and liqueur-like characteristics. Medium roast (City+), SCA score of 87.
