Bombe #1 – Etiopie
Summary
Bombe #1 comes from smallholders in the Bombe area of the Bensa district in Sidama, Ethiopia, one of the higher-altitude coffee regions. The coffee grows at 1,870 m and is made up of local Ethiopian Heirloom varieties. It is processed as an anaerobic natural: ripe cherries are carefully sorted, sealed in tanks with limited oxygen for controlled fermentation, then dried on African raised beds in natural sunlight. In the cup it is sweet, fresh and complex, with notes of baked yellow fruit, forest berries, mango and raspberries, complemented by citrus freshness, dark fruit and a delicate chocolate sweetness with a lightly caramel character.
