Bombe #1 – Ethiopia
Summary
Bombe #1 comes from smallholder farmers in Bombe, Bensa, in the Sidama Zone of Ethiopia, grown at 1,870–2,400 masl. It consists of Ethiopian Heirloom varieties, including local landraces and JARC selections. The coffee is processed as an anaerobic natural: ripe cherries are sorted, sealed in oxygen-limited tanks for controlled fermentation, then dried slowly on raised African beds and regularly turned. In the cup it is sweet, bright and layered, with papaya, mango, panela, baked yellow fruit, garden berries and raspberry, plus citrus and dark fruit freshness and a soft milk chocolate and caramel finish.
