Tanzania Arusha – Mondul Estate Natural Coffee

Summary

Single-origin Tanzanian coffee from Mondul Estate in the Arusha region of northern Tanzania. Established in 1931, the estate grows Arabica on Mondul Mountain at 1,600–1,800 metres. Varieties include Blue Mountain, Kent, KP423, N39 and Red Bourbon. Ripe cherries are hand-sorted and fermented in sealed tanks for five days (natural with extended anaerobic fermentation), then dried whole on raised beds for up to three weeks before milling. Tasting notes of strawberry, nectarine and candy give a fruity profile with sweet berry and stone-fruit character.
