Quénia Nyeri Hill Estate Ab | Origem Única
Summary
Single-origin Kenyan coffee from Nyeri Hill Estate, near the town of Nyeri at the foot of Mount Kenya. One of East Africa's oldest coffee plantations, first planted in 1914 and owned by the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri. The AB-grade lot combines SL28, SL34, Batian and Ruiru 11 varieties grown between 1,800 and 2,200 metres and harvested November to January. Kenyan washed process: cherries pulped immediately, dry fermented to remove mucilage, washed with clean water, graded and dried on raised beds. In the cup it is vibrant and juicy, with passion fruit and dried lime acidity, panela and cola sweetness, and hints of dark chocolate and caramel in a syrupy, creamy body.
