Burundi – Heza Hills – Washed
Summary
A washed Bourbon lot from the Heza washing station in Burundi's Kayanza province, grown at 1,960–2,200 masl. The station collects cherries from smallholder farmers across the surrounding hills, so a Heza Hills lot is a collective portrait of the area rather than a single farm. Cherries are sorted, depulped, fermented, washed and dried on raised beds, producing a clean, bright, fruity cup with medium body. Tasting notes of cherry, orange blossom, peach, black tea and honey.
