Summary

Burundi Nemba is a filter coffee from the Nemba washing station in Kayanza, northern Burundi, where 1,074 smallholder farmers deliver Red Bourbon cherries grown at around 1,700 meters above sea level. The coffee is processed using yeast-inoculated washed fermentation for approximately 96 hours with LALCAFÉ INTENSO™ yeast, then washed and dried on raised beds for 10-14 days. The cup is rich and fruity with plum jam and strawberry sweetness, a bright gooseberry edge, and a clean, complex, vibrant finish.
