Burundi Nemba (washed With Yeast Addition)

Summary

Single-origin coffee from Burundi, produced at the Nemba washing station in Kayanza, northern Burundi, where 1,074 smallholder farmers deliver coffee grown at about 1,700 meters above sea level near Kibila forest. This Red Bourbon lot is processed using a washed method with added yeast (LALCAFÉ INTENSO™), including a 96-hour fermentation, then washed, density sorted, and dried on raised beds for 10-14 days. The cup is rich and fruity with flavors of plum jam, strawberries, and gooseberries, clean and layered with a long, lively finish. Roasted for filter brewing.
