Volcan Azul H3
Summary
Volcan Azul H3 is a coffee from the West Valley region of Costa Rica, produced by Alejo Castro Kahle at the Volcan Azul estate, grown at 1550 meters altitude. It features the H3 variety, a hybrid of Ethiopian heirloom and Caturra. The coffee undergoes a warm anaerobic fermentation process: cherries are fermented in sealed tanks at elevated temperatures for four days, dried on patios for 5 days, then mechanically dried. The cup offers vibrant fruit flavours with notes of fig, blueberry, and blackcurrant, with great structure and gentle acidity.
