Volcan Azul H1
Summary
Volcan Azul H1 is a specialty coffee from the West Valley region of Costa Rica, produced by Alejo Castro Kahle at the famous Volcan Azul estate. This lot features the H1 varietal, a hybrid of Sarchimor and Sudan Rume. The coffee undergoes a warm anaerobic fermentation process, fermenting sealed at 21°C for five days before drying. It delivers a complex cup with tropical notes of papaya, passion fruit, and banana, sparkling sweetness reminiscent of grape soda, and lasting notes of cacao and raisin as it cools.
