Volcan Azul Gesha
Summary
A Costa Rican coffee from the West Valley region, produced by Alejo Castro Kahle at the Volcan Azul estate on the slopes of Poás Volcano. This Gesha varietal undergoes a carefully controlled anaerobic natural fermentation process: whole cherries are fermented in sealed tanks for 48 hours at an average of 16.8°C, followed by drying. The cup profile offers delicate fruity notes of raspberry, red grape, and pomegranate, with elegant floral aromatics reminiscent of jasmine and rooibos tea, and a refreshing acidity.
