La Bandera
Summary
La Bandera is a natural processed coffee from the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica, produced by Diego Hidalgo. The farm is located near Cerro de la Muerte at an altitude of 1950 meters, where cool winds create a unique microclimate. The coffee is of the Catuai variety, and the cherries are slowly dried on raised beds under the sun. The cup profile features notes of pear, mango, and almond, underpinned by rich dark chocolate, with a gently lactic acidity. It is roasted as an espresso coffee.
