Kamavindi - Kenya
Summary
Kamavindi is a washed SL-selection coffee from Peter Mbature, the Mbature family, and Kamavindi Estate, a family farm in Embu, Kenya, founded in 1958. The lot comes from Kamavindi's November harvest and was grown at 1680 MASL. Post-harvest processing included two distinct dry fermentation and washing stages, meticulous sorting and floating, and slow, gradual drying on raised beds. In the cup, it offers a classic Kenyan profile: deep, complex currant and dark fruit, bright but structured grapefruit acidity, and crisp juniper and hibiscus tea notes.
