Rarity: Ecuador Galápagos
Summary
Single origin coffee from San Cristóbal in the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador, grown on the young volcanic soils of Hacienda El Cafetal roughly 1,000 km off the Ecuadorian coast. Bourbon plants, first introduced in the late 19th century, grow under shade trees of avocado, guava and orange in a protected ecosystem influenced by the cool Humboldt Current. Fully washed, the cup shows fresh citrus acidity, stone fruit notes and a full body. Suited to filter, press and pour over brewing.
