Uganda Miwu Washed
Summary
This single-origin coffee from Uganda's Mt Elgon region in Miwu village is produced by The Coffee Gardens Project, a community-driven initiative with 310 smallholder farmers. It features three varieties: Nyasaland, SL14, and SL28. The coffee undergoes a washed processing with a 40-hour dry fermentation, then dried on raised African beds in solar dryers with an extensive 12-stage sorting protocol. Flavour notes include plum, cherry, black tea, and caramel. It offers a smooth, balanced, and full-bodied profile suitable for both pour-over and espresso brewing methods. Grown at 1800-2200 masl.
