Grind: it should look like kitchen salt

  1. 1.Prepare cup, scale, and tamper.
  2. 2.Grind 18g of coffee.
  3. 3.Add coffee to portafilter and distribute it evenly.
  4. 4.Tamp it evenly/straight with tamper. It doesn't have to be very strong; if you feel the tamper is not going anymore down, that is enough.
  5. 5.Flush the grouphead.
  6. 6.Insert the portafilter and start the extraction.
  7. 7.Put cups under the spouts. If you use a traditional espresso cup (not bigger than 90ml of total volume), you should get not more than 1/3 of a cup.

There should be 60-70 ml of water going through coffee.
