Ethiopia: Biru Bekele Washed

Summary

This washed coffee from Ethiopia's Guji region is produced by Biru Bekele in partnership with over 300 smallholder farmers. Grown at 1,900–2,100 meters in fertile volcanic soils, the cherries are hand-picked, depulped within hours, fermented, fully washed, and dried on raised beds for 10–14 days. The cup offers delicate floral aromatics, elegant tea-like notes, and bright citrus complexity, with tasting notes of oolong tea, lemon, and bright acidity.
