This specialty coffee from Burundi's Muyinga province is produced by over 1700 smallholder farmers who deliver cherries to the Ngogomo wet mill. The washed process involves depulping, fermentation, washing, and drying on raised beds for 2-3 weeks. The Bourbon variety yields a bright, juicy, and floral cup with notes of black tea, peach, and tangerine. Grown at 1,500-1,800 meters above sea level, this light roast is particularly suited for pour-over brewing.
