Biru Bekele - Ethiopia
Summary
A single-origin Ethiopian coffee from Odo-Shakiso in the Guji zone of Oromia, produced by Biru Bekele, who built his own washing station in 2019 and is known across southern Guji for meticulous hand sorting and fermentation experiments, including the use of Cimma yeast in select natural lots. The station is managed day to day by Mesfin Girma. This natural processed coffee dries slowly for 12-16 days with the cherries fully intact in the sun, yielding a fruit-forward, smooth and balanced cup. Roasted medium.
