Chelbesa is a washed Ethiopian coffee from the SNNPR region, processed at the Chelbesa station at 2173 meters above sea level. The station works with 672 producers in collaboration with SNAP Specialty Coffee, an exporter founded in Addis Ababa in 2008. The coffee features local varieties 74158 and 74112. Processing involves floating, ecological pulping, fermentation, soaking, and drying on raised beds. The cup profile includes notes of black tea, elderflower, lemon, and star fruit. Harvest season runs from November to mid-January.
