Summary

This washed Ethiopian coffee comes from smallholder producers in the Chelbesa area of Gedeb, in the Gedeo Zone highlands of Yirgacheffe. Grown at 1,950–2,200 metres above sea level, the cherries mature slowly, developing clarity and refined sweetness. The traditional garden-plot cultivation alongside shade trees contributes to its delicate complexity. Processed at a local washing station, the coffee is sorted, depulped, fermented, washed, and dried on raised African beds. In the cup it is clean and transparent, with delicate floral aromatics, bright citrus acidity, and a soft white tea finish. Elegant and precise, it is a refined expression of washed Yirgacheffe-style coffee.
