
Guatemala - Blue Ayarza
Summary
A washed single-origin coffee from Guatemala, produced by smallholder farmers around Lake Ayarza in Santa Rosa and processed centrally at the Ayarza cherry mill to maintain quality. Producer Francisco Nájera, from El Naranjo in Jutiapa, cultivates small plots of under 1 hectare and also runs a coffee tree nursery. Varieties include Anacafe 14, Bourbon, Catuai, Pache and San Ramon. Flavour notes: red apple, chocolate and blueberry. Available as whole beans or ground, in 250g and 1kg sizes.
