Summary

Korongo, named after the Swahili word for flamingo, is a washed coffee from the southern highlands of Tanzania. Sourced from a network of washing stations across Mbozi, Mbeya and Mbinga, the coffee is grown at 1600-1900m altitude and features Blue Mountain, Bourbon, SL28, and Typica varieties. Hand-picked cherries are pulped, fermented, and dried on raised beds for 14-20 days. Flavour notes include blueberry, floral, orange, and cocoa.
