Wicho Valdés (venecia)
Summary
Single origin espresso from Wicho Valdés's San Lorenzo farm in Cobán, Guatemala, grown at 1,400 m.a.s.l. The Venecia variety, an unusual natural mutation of Bourbon selected for rainy growing regions, is washed and roasted for espresso. A full-bodied yet lively cup with creamy milk chocolate and macadamia over juicy blackberry and rich brown sugar. Wicho has led the family's coffee production since 1998 and has been moving the farms toward regenerative methods.
