Johan & Nytsrom

Swedish specialty coffee roaster Johan & Nyström has been at it since 2004. Based in Länna, just outside Stockholm, they're a 'big little roastery' — small enough to care deeply about each bean, large enough to roast on some of Europe's most modern kit. They work directly with producers they call friends, building long-term relationships instead of chasing trends. Single origins, filter roasts, and espressos rotate regularly, with fresh arrivals like Willyan Rojas's Pink Bourbon from Colombia dropping frequently. Their philosophy: better coffee isn't just what's in your cup, but how it's grown, the health of the soil, and regeneration at origin. They run their own coffee bars too, which tracks for a roaster that's scaled up without losing what made them interesting.
