Award Tour: Colombia Israel Hernandez Gesha
Summary
AWARD TOUR: Colombia Israel Hernandez Gesha is a washed single-origin coffee from producer Israel Hernandez, grown near the remote town of Rioblanco in Tolima, Colombia. The Gesha variety, native to Western Ethiopia and famous in Latin America for its intense floral and citrus flavors, delivers tasting notes of lemon drop candy, hibiscus, white cherry, and melon. Hernandez took 4th place in the 2020 Cup of Excellence and has won prizes in the Colombian Coffee Federation's Land of Diversity Competition and other contests. Huckleberry Roasters has roasted his Gesha every season since 2018, starting with his very first harvest.
