Summary
Engwe is a Ugandan specialty coffee from the Rwenzori Mountains, produced by smallholder farmers working with Agri Evolve, a B Corp founded in 2016 that supports around 2,000 producers in the Kasese district. The coffee is the SL14 variety, hand-picked and naturally processed, grown at 1,700 m with a 16/18 screen size. It offers a juicy, sweet and floral cup with medium tartaric acidity, notes of marshmallow, strawberry jam and a subtle almond and marzipan character. Exotic profile level 2/3, fruity flavour, SCA score 86.75.
